Dear Reader,

At the outset I am thankful for reposing confidence in me and choosing me as President for the term 2017-2019. With the inspiration and guidance of Past Presidents and Mentors I will try my best to fulfill the aspirations.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Team work is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. I am fortunate to have a very great team in the form of Board of Trustees and Sub committees. All are very vibrant and committed. We work as a team under the caption “Team VCAT”. We the Board of Trustees coined the mission of VCAT for the term 2017-2019 as “ लोकहितम् मम करणीयम् ” ( Our Duty is to do good to Humanity )

Every citizen is indebted to the society in which he is born and brought up and derives everything from it. The only way to pay back that debt is undoubtedly to render some service to the society. As a matter of fact, serving the society becomes the bounded duty of every individual and would lift the unfortunate in the society to dignity and bring happiness and solace to the individual.

VCAT provides its members a platform to showcase their commitment to the Society. In this direction number of initiatives are planned to achieve through a comprehensive 6 dimensional vision viz., Membership Development, Vidyadhara, Techwing, Student’s Welfare, Women’s Welfare and Cultural and Social Wing. This should be seen as an attempt to provide different opportunities for member participation and also to create visibility amongst the members and general public.

It is broadly agreed that during the tenure, focus will be on Techwing and Student’s welfare wing activities supported by other subcommittee activities. Vidyadhara, flagship program which is in existence for last 5 years will continue as before.

It is an element of pride to members that all activities of VCAT are funded by its members only.

All in all VCAT’s vision and mission statement “ लोकहितम् मम करणीयम् ” ( Our Duty is to do good to Humanity ) offers right direction
